After conferment of MEng from the University of Tokyo, he has consistently been in offshore energy industry for more than 10 years. His career includes experience as an engineer in EPCI and O&M of global offshore oil& gas energy within MODEC and experience as a project manager and tender manager in the emerging period of offshore wind in Japan within wpd/Skyborn.

Lars Samuelsson is Manager for Global Offshore Renewables at ABS in Houston, bringing 30 years of offshore experience with focus on Floating Offshore Wind for the past 15 years. Lars is also the co-convener of IEC/TC88/MT3-2, the working group tasked with updating IEC 61400-3-2 for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines and the co-convener of the ACP Floating Wind Systems Guideline Working Group tasked with developing a Recommended Practice for floating offshore wind in US waters.

David Timmington is the first Chair of WFO’s Floating Wind Moorings Subcommittee established in 2020 and authored the group’s inaugural white paper ‘Mooring Systems for Floating Offshore Wind: Integrity Management Concepts, Risks and Mitigation’ in 2022. Graduating with Honours in Business Administration from the University of Bath, David joined Griffin-Woodhouse Ltd (GWEC™) in April 1998 and has developed a valuable knowledge and experience in mooring systems design and equipment manufacture.

Hayden Marcollo is the first Chair of WFO’s Floating Wind Cables and Floating Substations Subcommittee. He holds four international patents in riser systems along with two provisional patents in offshore renewable energy. Hayden is also the founder and first Chair for the Society of Underwater Technology Melbourne Branch; Adjunct Professor in Ocean Engineering at the University of Tasmania; official Discussor on the ISSC (International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress) Loads Subcommittee; on the IEC TC114 Marine Energy Committee.

Ilmas Bayati is a Senior Manager at PEAK Wind, leading the Operations Economics & Analytics practice, supporting offshore and floating wind projects in achieving bankability and operational optimization. Ilmas chairs since 2021 the WFO O&M Floating Wind Subcommittee. With 15 years of technical and economic advisory experience, Ilmas holds a PhD in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications.
